Art association hosts special guest

The meeting starts at 13:00 and the demonstration will follow after.

The Upper South Coast Art Association (USCAA) is delighted to host well-known Durban artist, Maggie Strachan, as a guest demonstrator on Saturday, October 16.  The class will take place at the Amanzimtoti Scout Hall situated at 4 Drake Road. The meeting starts at 13:00 and the demonstration will follow after. The fee is R30, which includes tea.  Drawing lessons are also offered in the morning at 09:00 at a nominal fee of R10 and will focus on using geometrical shapes.

“Materials to bring are four sheets of A4 photocopy paper, a sheet of A4 pastel paper, soft pastels (red, blue and yellow in each shade of light, medium, and dark), black permanent marker, black fine liner (average 05) and a HB pencil and eraser,” said the president of USCAA, Irene Carroll.

Optional items to bring are cotton buds or stick blender, rag or paper towel, black bin bag and references (a real flower or real pot plant), pictures of farm livestock.
