Local beaches in a poor state [LETTER]

Why would a beach facility, which is used by locals and holidaymakers, alike, be deemed not important enough to be attended to?

EDITOR – I wonder how long it will be before Toti’s tidal pool will be operational again. Amanzimtoti and surrounds is a holiday destination chosen by many, each year.

Why would a beach facility, which is used by locals and holidaymakers, alike, be deemed not important enough to be attended to? The answer I received from a municipal worker was “there is no money”.

Come on, let’s not get started.

Tidal pools are an important part of the beachgoer’s overall experience of beaches. And beachgoers are entitled to have the beach basics in good working order.

Come on municipality, sort out the pools. Toti is not the only beach with an empty tidal pool.
