Bowlers enjoy play at Winklespruit Bowling Club

An enjoyable morning of bowls was had by all who took part.

THE women’s Victory Kwik Spar Tops Winkle trips took place on Thursday, August 5, at Winklespruit Bowling Club and was well supported by the local clubs.

The clubs competition secretary, Lou Bingham, thanked all who continuously support the monthly competitions. An enjoyable morning of bowls was had by all who took part.

Thanks to all who supplied snacks and to those who worked in the kitchen and bar. Thanks to Victory Kwik Spar and Tops for its continued support.

Overall winners were Jeanne Alexander, Jane Coetzee and Kathy Cox. Second session winners were Tokkie de Kock, Delysia Mitchell and Cathy Badenhorst. The mystery prize was won by Tokkie de Kock and the 100 board winner was Jeanne Alexannder.

All members playing league on Saturday and Sunday, August 14 – 15, must check the notice board for venues and times.

Social bowls continue every Wednesday and Friday, tabs in at 13:30 for 14:00.

A reminder to put your tab in after completing the Covid-19 registration form. Club members are urged to pay the applicable fee for refreshments at break time at social bowls.

The attendance draw was conducted on Friday, August 6, at the social evening and Basil Ananiadis name was drawn, but he was not present. The prize will be carried over to the next draw.
