A stolen vehicle was recovered by members of the ET Tactical Response Team on Friday, 11 June.
“The team was activated by Tracker South Africa to respond to Illovo township for activation of a vehicle that was taken in a house robbery. Upon arrival at the given location, suspects fled on foot between the houses, leaving the vehicle which was taken in the house robbery, as well as their getaway vehicle behind,” operations manager of ET Rapid Response, Louis van Ryneveld.
An extensive search was conducted in the area for the suspects by TRT, CCPO, Tracker Connect, Metro Police K9, Amanzimtoti SAPS and SAPS Provincial Trio Task Team, but they could not be located.
“Both vehicles were impounded to be processed by forensic experts.”
