Knife-wielding intruder nabbed in Doonside

The homeowner said that the intruder threatened him with a knife.

A knife-wielding suspect was apprehended in Doon Heights on Wednesday, 5 May.
The CCPO control centre received a call from a resident in Poplar Road, Doon Heights, stating that there was an intruder on his property. The homeowner said that the intruder threatened him with a knife.

“The call was immediately relayed over the CCPO network, which led to the prompt response by members of CCPO, ET Rapid Response and Blue Security,” operations manager of ET Rapid Response, Louis van Ryneveld.  A lengthy foot chase ensued after the suspect was spotted, and in a combined effort by all those involved, resulted in the suspect being apprehended.”
