John Parker closes shop in Amanzimtoti

He thanked members of the community for supporting his business.

AFTER many years in the motor industry, John Parker, 71, of John Parker Auto Sales will close his doors and go on a muchdeserved retirement.  The car dealership has been at the Amanzimtoti premises since November 1999.

“I have been in the motor trade industry since 1970. My wife and I have been running the business together. I fi rst started on my own in 1995. I was born in Zimbabwe and joined the motor trade industry there. When I came to South Africa, I moved to Pietermaritzburg and then set up home in Amanzimtoti.”

He thanked members of the community for supporting his business.

“It has been an absolute pleasure working in this community. I want to thank every single person who has supported the business all these years. It is through them that I am successful. I thank the community unconditionally. I’m retiring and I want to have some fun. I hope to travel, spend time doing woodwork, exercise and enjoy time with my family.”
