Mental health on focus at Kingsburgh Welfare

The session is limited to 10 people at a time and booking is essential. Bookings close on Monday, 26 April.

Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare Society will host a monthly mental health support session is set to take place on Wednesday, 28 April from 9am to 11am at 2 Hall Road, Warner Beach. The session will be facilitated by social worker Sandra Govender and will feature special guests every month.

“We are happy to an active presence in the community. The support group is for adults and children. This is a safe place for group interaction and connection.”

The session is limited to 10 people at a time and booking is essential. Bookings close on Monday, 26 April.

The organisation will also host an Art of Living session for breathing techniques, stress reduction and anxiety ease. Guest facilitator, Devina Dawkinum will conduct the introduction to easy breathing on Tuesday, 27 April at Amanzimtoti Sports Centre Hall. The first session from 9.30am to 10.45am will be held for adults followed by the second session from 11am to 12pm for adults. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes. Bookings can be made through Quicket and the session is limited to 30 people.

Members of the Lions Club of Kingsburgh generously donated teddy bears that will be used as part of a care pack to support grieving children.  To book call, 031-916-2274 or email admin@kingsburghwelfare.org.za.
