South Africans must stand together [LETTER]

I am aware that South Africa is riddled with crime, corruption, loadshedding and among other issues as well - every other country globally has its issues to deal with.

EDITOR – I have just returned abroad after a well deserved vacational break with family and friends in South Africa.

But, I could not help noticing how many South Africans walk around with a chip on their shoulders, it’s as if the world owes them something. It’s time South Africans come down to earth and work together.

Fellow South Africans, may I remind you that the world owe us nothing. I am aware that South Africa is riddled with crime, corruption, loadshedding and among other issues as well – every other country globally has its issues to deal with.

But, the only way we are going to solve this problem in South Africa, is by voting for a party that can stop the foolishness. As soon as we accept each other, the better we all can live in peace and harmony together.

I see hope and a future for all within our beloved country, we just have to learn to put our differences aside and work alongside each other.

I don’t think South Africans realise what a beautiful country they live in. When considering emigrating, think very carefully before moving abroad – the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. I personally cannot wait to return to South Africa on a permanent basis – once a South African, always a South African.

I am a proud South African working abroad and a true ambassador when it comes to holding the good name of South Africa high.
