More murals to beautify Amanzimtoti

Motorists are urged to exercise caution when passing the bridge and be aware of the traffic cones.

Another stunning mural project will beautify the bridge wall at the Adams Road intersection. Local artist, Chrsitine Andrews and Sapphire Coast Tourism, hopes to welcome visitors from far and wide when exploring Amanzimtoti and surroundings.  The mural, that is currently being painted, will feature an ocean theme and showcase directional signage with the community tourism organisation’s logo.

“We hope to have this project complete before December in order to welcome our visitors. However, this is weather dependent. These murals not only beautify the environment, but also create an awareness for the tourism brand,” said the organisation’s Romy Wenzel.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution when passing the bridge and be aware of the traffic cones.

“Companies are also encouraged to come forward to support this initiative. The main aim is to beautify the community and bring in tourists.”

With just a few weeks before the start of the December holidays, the community and local businesses are encouraged to support the upcoming Sapphire Sizzling Summer Holiday Programme 2020.

“We are looking for sponsors for prize and voucher giveaways as well as any assistance to make the programme bigger and better. It takes place from Saturday, 19 December to Saturday, 2 January. We hope to ensure that visitors from far and wide enjoy their holiday getaway at Amanzimtoti and Winklespruit beaches.”

For more information on the programme, contact the Sapphire Coast Tourism team on 083-733-6468 or email info@sapphirecoasttourism.co.za or romywenzel@gmail.com.
