Amanzimtoti SPCA’s animal dinner fund kicks off

People who wish to contribute can have a short message printed in the SUN on behalf of a pet.

Renamed the Marlene Prinsloo Christmas Dinner Fund in honour of the co-ordinator who died earlier this year, the festive fundraiser for Amanzimtoti SPCA has kicked off. Local animal lovers are urged to dig deep into their pockets to help the SPCA feed stray animals over the festive season. This is a period when the organisation is inundated with animals who require assistance. Guy Fawkes Day and the fireworks season are looming, which is festive for some, but not for our four-legged friends who suffer the most with the big bangs. It is an immense task for the SPCA, that relies on donations, to feed and house these animals. The Toti public can help by donating to the Animal Christmas Dinner Fund. The fund’s contributions go towards food for the homeless, abandoned and destitute animals that are housed by the SPCA. The fund will run until the end of December. “It’s that time of year again when the SPCAs are inundated with stray and unwanted animals. This year has been tough for everyone. We are so appreciative of the support the community has shown our SPCA and we would not have kept our heads above water without you.
