Stolen trailer and goods recovered by Amanzimtoti response officers

The truck had been hijacked earlier in the evening.

A hijacked trailer, containing kitchenware, was recovered by response officers on the N2 opposite Prospecton on Tuesday night, 25 August.

“While on patrol our tactical response team (TRT) came across the truck trailer abandoned on the northbound highway,” said ET Rapid Response South Coast managing member, Tony Lokker.

Upon further investigation, it was established that a truck had been hijacked earlier in the evening. The horse had been recovered, however, the trailer and goods, valued at about R350 000, were still missing. “The trailer and contents were recovered by our TRT and handed over to SAPS. Thank you to Isipingo SAPS and SAPS Umlazi K9 unit for the prompt response.”
