Bowlers continue play at Winkle Bowling Club under strict rules

If you are a bit early remain in your vehicle, no socialising.

With bowlers now back in the game of bowling at Winkle Bowling Club (WBC) under strict rules set out by BSA, members are reminded to keep up the discipline of all Covid rules.

Masks to be worn at all times and sanitisers to be used as stipulated. Be at the club 10 to 15 minutes before the scheduled session to register.

If you are a bit early remain in your vehicle, no socialising. Cool drinks are on sale for thirsty bowlers.

Members to note there are four rinks available for play on Wednesdays and Fridays. Session times have changed to 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm and increased to 16 ends of play.

All bookings to be made with Ivan van den Bergh on 079-966-3424. Ivan has set up a WBC Covid booking site for members. For more information on bookings, contact Ivan. The club thanks Ivan for all his hard work and time given to setting up the WBC Covid booking site.

The committee is looking at introducing Saturday bowls to the schedule.

This is still to be discussed and members will be advised when this will be implemented.

For more information regarding the BSA rules, contact Norma Raath or André Gelderblom.

The club wishes Annalie Pienaar a speedy recovery after having a major back operation. Birthday wishes are sent to all those with birthdays in the month of August.
