The winner of the surfboard, Mike ‘Rose’ Roscoe, was selected on Tuesday, 14 January. The raffle formed part of the many fundraising ventures that turned the Sizzling Summer programme into a reality.

Courtenay Ellish of Africa Surfboards said, “As part of the fundraiser we also offered free surf lessons and yoga on the beach as well was a beach clean-up, all of which were very well supported. We thank the community for their support. We will definitely try to make this a regular thing. Congratulation to the winner who is a local former professional surfer, who will make good use of this surfboard.”

Tickets for the raffle were R20 each and all of the proceeds went towards the beach lifestyle events at Amanzimtoti Main Beach, Baggies Beach and Winklespruit Beach.
