Top tips from eThekwini Municipality for a fun and safe summer

The festive season is here. Here are four tips to help you stay safe in the eThekwini Municipality.

1. Durban, We’ve got summer covered

Take a splash at the beautiful beach but remember to co-operate with our lifeguards. They are here for your safety and protection.

2. Safety first, Tag your child

Create memories with friends and family this festive season. Remember to keep children within sight at all times, especially when they are swimming.

3. Keep our beautiful City Clean this festive season

Show your love for the City. Bin your litter.

4. Hassle free, park & ride

In an effort to minimise traffic congestion, the Municipality has a park and ride system at the Old Drive-Inn Site (corner of Sandile Thusi and Sylvester Ntuli Road).

Free shuttles will ferry passengers from this site to the beach every 30 minutes throughout the festive season.

Roads leading to the beachfront will be boom-gate controlled. When necessary these boom gates will be closed for the safety of all patrons.
