Lions fleamarket celebrates its first birthday

This month and December’s markets provide the perfect chance to purchase unique gifts, little stocking fillers and other Christmas goodies.

November marks the first anniversary of Kingsburgh Lions and St Mary Church’s flea market held on the first Saturday of every month at the church hall in Warner Beach.

“In addition to swelling much-needed funds for both parties in order to help the needy in our community, it has given a number of private stallholders an opportunity to sell their wares as well,” said Kingsburgh Lions president, Moira Rigby.

This month and December’s markets will provide the perfect chance for shoppers to purchase unique gifts, little stocking fillers and other Christmas goodies. A selection of Christmas decorations will also be on sale as well as the usual white elephant stall, costume jewellery, cuddly soft toys, clothing, books, beautiful cacti and so much more.

“Pop in for a visit this Saturday and sample some tasty curried mince vetkoek, pancakes, sandwiches and tea and coffee. The Lions’ tasty alcohol-free Christmas cakes will also be on sale,” said Moira.

Gates open at 7am and close between 10am and 11am, so get there early. For more information, call Moira Rigby on 031-903-3087 or email moira.rigby@gmail.com.
