Two arrested, firearms and ammunition seized in Amanzimtoti and Umbumbulu

Two unlicensed firearms and ammunition were seized.

Two suspects were arrested in separate incidents for being in possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Amanzimtoti and Umbumbulu on Monday, 16 September.

The operation was conducted by the eThekwini Outer South Cluster.  Two unlicensed firearms and ammunition were seized.

Provincial police spokesperson, captain Nqobile Gwala said, “The suspects will appear in the Umbumbulu Magistrate’s Court.  The police operations to remove the illegal firearms from the hands of criminals in the province have been intensified.”
