Tackle Twini Beach for International cleanup day

We invite schools, members of the public and businesses.

Clean Surf Project (CSP) invites the Toti public to International Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, 21 September. International Coastal Cleanup Day is the largest volunteer effort for the ocean’s health. People around the world gather on beaches, coasts, rivers, waterways and underwater dive sites to remove litter and record information on the debris collected.

“We invite schools, members of the public and businesses to join CSP, a registered non-profit organisation, to celebrate International Coastal Cleanup Day at Umbogintwini Beach,” said CSP’s Romy Wenzel. Twini Beach is located on Golf Course Road in Athlone Park, next to the country club.

The morning gets underway from 8.30am with an exhibition and presentations from various role players, before a beach clean-up from 9.35am to 10.35am. “Take reusable gloves, sunscreen, hat and shoes. Bags, data sheets and water will be supplied on the day.”

For more information, call CSP on 082-802-3353 or email cleansurfproject@gmail.com.
