Help raise funds for warrior Miané’s medical procedures

Warrior Miané's Little Shop sells products, toys and offer services to raise funds for the procedure and ongoing medical, daily and therapy expenses.

Toti residents are urged to help raise funds for a little girl to undergo botox procedures. Miané Ainslie fell into a porta pool at her grandmother’s house in Witbank on Monday, 9 November 2015 when she was just 19-months-old. It is suspected that she was in the pool for about 10 minutes before her grandmother found her.

Miané has received extensive therapy over the years and is making progress on a daily basis. Through treatment and extensive therapy she has regained much movement of her arms and legs, her eyesight and head control.

She urgently needs botox in her neck and leg muscle to relieve the tightness that is pulling her feet and legs inwards and her head to the right. While in theatre, full X-rays on her hips and back can be done, as well her check her bone age and density. However, she needs another R58 400 before Monday, 2 September to be able to go into theatre.

“Through regular physiotherapy, her movements have improved tremendously and she is able to turn her head and make eye contact and is learning to drink again,” said Claudette. “We are trying all avenues to try and raise these funds and continuing to share our plea on social media and to companies and the community.

“I also run a Facebook group called Warrior Miané’s Little Shop where we sell all kinds of products, toys and offer services in order to raise funds for not only the procedure, but also her ongoing medical, daily and therapy expenses.

It would be amazing if we can raise these funds for her to make the botox procedure a reality, as this is what she really needs right now to eliminate the constant pain and restrictions she is in. At the moment she is doing good under the circumstances and continuing making progress with the current therapies she is doing.”

To donate: Standard Bank Scottburgh, account number: 10099474121, branch code: 051001, swift code: SBZAZAJJ, reference: Botox. For more information, call Claudette on 071-462-7589, email claudette.matthee@live.co.za or visit Warrior Mianè’s Facebook page.
