Amanzimtoti High School welcomes new deputy principal

Hein Kapp has been consistently involved in successfully promoting the school’s academic growth, as well as the development of the school’s local sporting talent.

Hein Kapp has been appointed as Amanzimtoti High School’s new deputy principal. He was appointed following the retirement of Rosemarie Hughes in November.

Hein completed his high school career at Kuswag Skool and obtained his honours degree in education at the University of the Free State. After teaching at several schools around the country, he joined Amanzimtoti High School in 1992, where he was later promoted to head of department.

During his tenure, he has been consistently involved in successfully promoting the school’s academic growth, as well as the development of the school’s local sporting talent.

Hein is married to Mili and they have four children. He spends his free time enjoying his family life as well as spear and deep-sea fishing.

“I am very passionate about the uplifting of education and invite our community to join us on this exciting journey towards the realisation of the full potential of our youth. One of my main objectives as deputy principal will be to continue to build on our principles of discipline, respect and hard work by promoting a safe environment where effective learning can take place.

“I see exciting times ahead for our school, as we are blessed with the unwavering support of our competent and dedicated staff, a driven student governing body, encouraging parents and the visionary leadership of our principal, Louise Lemmer. Amanzimtoti High School is poised for great things in the future,” said Hein.
