Copper thieves arrested in Toti with stolen items

George Snodey spotted the men carrying the copper pipes still wrapped in insulation on Moss Kolnick Road.

Two copper thieves were nabbed with their stolen booty by an alert Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) committee member, George Snodey on Monday, 13 May.

He spotted the men carrying the copper pipes still wrapped in insulation on Moss Kolnick Road and held them under observation. The men went down an embankment and returned about 20 minutes later with the pipes cut into small pieces and stashed in a bag.

Not to be thwarted, Snodey called for back-up and CCPO and Blue Security officers apprehended the men near the Galleria traffic lights and searched the bag.

If you have had your airconditioner pipes stolen in the vicinity of Iphala Road, call Snodey on 083-655-4302 to open a case.
