Spread warmth this winter with Lions Club

If you are throwing out old, but still wearable warm clothes to make way for a new winter wardrobe, or if you or your children have outgrown them, drop them off at one of the collections points.

Kingsburgh Lions Club members are trying to collect sufficient warm clothing to distribute among the needy this Winter.

“This is an annual project which locals know as the Anything Warm campaign, which goes hand-in-hand with our beanies and scarves collections,” said Lion Lynn Lyle.

“We are well aware that we would not be able to do all this without the generosity of local knitters who have already supplied large amounts of beautiful beanies and knitted or crocheted blankets. As the need for warm clothing is always great, we hope to collect many more warm garments.”

Collection baskets or bags have been placed at Amanda’s Restaurant, corner of Rockview and Seaforth roads, Readers Rest and Patches in Seadoone Mall and Halls Garden Pavilion in Kingsway. If you are throwing out old, but still wearable warm clothes to make way for a new winter wardrobe, or if you or your children have outgrown them, drop them off at one of the collections points.
