Bicycle thief arrested with stolen goods

The man admitted to stealing the bicycles from a house in Owen Place.

A bicycle thief found himself ‘pedalling’ to jail when the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) nabbed him in the early hours of Friday morning, 15 March.

The CCPO said two of its foot patrol guards saw a man with two bicycles while patrolling along Fynn Road, Amanzimtoti just before 5am. They questioned him and he admitted stealing them from a house in Owen Place. The owner was contacted, a case opened and the suspect detained by Amanzimtoti SAPS.
