EDITOR – I find it disgusting that our local dunes and beaches are literally covered in rubbish and glass.
Yet, not even 50 metres away at the toilet facilities, there are municipal workers who are paid to clean, sitting around, seemingly doing nothing.
Local beachgoers have to pick up litter and clean in order to enjoy a day sitting at the ocean without sitting in filth, or cutting our feet on glass.
How many people walk on Warner Beach every day, enjoying the ocean, yet turning a blind eye to what is happening on our beaches?
Many foreigners visit our shores. Is this how we depict what our country is about?
I am certainly not proud. I hope something can be done about this situation.
