Man survives fall from third-floor balcony

Paramedics arrived at about 1.45pm to find the worker lying on the ground, complaining of lower back pain.

A 25-year-old man was fortunate to escape serious injury after falling from a third-floor balcony, which is under construction, at a development along Arbour Road, Amanzimtoti, on Wednesday, 7 March.

ER24 spokesman, Ross Campbell said paramedics arrived at about 1.45pm to find the worker lying on the ground, complaining of lower back pain but without any visible injuries. He was stabilised and taken to hospital for further treatment. The exact circumstances leading up to the incident are unknown.
