Kingsburgh Child Welfare to establish ECD database

Kingsburgh Child Welfare aims to provide support by encouraging ECDs to participate in its developmental programmes.

Kingsburgh Child Welfare aims to create a database of early childhood development centres (creches).

“The SA government has plans to provide every child with up to a minimum of two years of pre-primary school exposure before they enter basic schooling. Our aim is to provide supportive and developmental services to ECDs, so we therefore want to establish a database of all day mothers and ECDs in the greater Amanzimtoti area,” said senior social worker, Sandra Govender.

“Our aim is to provide support by encouraging ECDs to participate in our developmental programmes such as first aid training, school readiness, health and safety, play or occupational therapy child protection, as well as reading or story-telling programmes.” ECDs can call Sandra on 031-916-2274 between 8am and noon and provide details of your facility.
