Flood of donations for annual dinner fund

The fund’s contributions go towards food for the homeless, abandoned and destitute animals that are housed by the SPCA.

In the last week before Christmas, Toti animal lovers have opened their hearts and their wallets to donate to this year’s Animal Dinner Fund.

The latest donations include:

* R250 from Megan Svendsen

* R100 from Maureen Bishop ‘with love from Lulu, Redd and cousins’

* R3,000 from anonymous ‘in loving memory of Blu’

* R500 from Sean and Kate MacFarlane ‘in loving memory of Scamp, Patches, Daisy and my Maximus’

* R300 from mum Clay ‘in remembrance of our beloved doggies as another year goes by – Sheba, Hoss, Cass, Rusty, Bradshaw, Tyson and little Patches. Miss you so much. Lots of love and hugs. Sleep peaceful my boys’

* R1,000 from Virginia and Tubby ‘in loving memory of all our pets, who remain in our hearts’

* R500 from Valerie Botes ‘in memory of all my pets. Thank you for your loving companionship over all the years’

* R50 van Fista ‘in heringering van my hond Lady’

* R200 from Dawn Hillan ‘to all my fur babies who gave me so much love over the years’

* R100 from Jean Dewet ‘enjoy your meal’

* R500 from Mowgli and family ‘with love’

* R200 from anonymous ‘on behalf of Milo we will miss you’

* R1,700 from Laura’s Yoga Class ‘to every animal at the SPCA, may your heart know returned love’

* R2,400 from from all the girls at Margies Body Action Gym ‘with much love and a special thank you to Jim Mc Clelland’

* R250 from Michelle

The Toti public can help by donating to the Animal Christmas Dinner Fund before the closing date on Tuesday, 15 January. The fund’s contributions go towards food for the homeless, abandoned and destitute animals that are housed by the SPCA. People who wish to contribute can have a short message printed in the SUN on behalf of a pet. Just email the amount of your donation and a message to strandburg@lantic.net or tracey@spcatoti.co.za, or fax to 031-903-5756, attention Earl.

Send donations either to the SPCA or Marlene Prinsloo at unit 31, Poinsettia Park, 619 Kingsway, Amanzimtoti, 4126. Cheques must be made out to Amanzimtoti SPCA.
