Net closes on wanted Amanzimtoti burglar

He has been positively linked to a house robbery in Adrienne Road where the resident was stabbed 13 times.

A wanted burglar was arrested by Toti detectives in the early hours of Thursday morning, 13 December. “We believe this suspect has been instrumental in most of our house robberies and housebreakings in our area, mainly in Doonheights and St Winifreds,” said Community Crime Prevention Organisation committee member, George Snodey.

“He has been positively linked to a house robbery which occurred in Adrienne Road, St Winifreds a few months ago where the resident was stabbed 13 times and was lucky to survive. He has been positively linked via fingerprints, so there is no way out for him this time.

From information we received from informers, we believe he is going to be linked to many cases and a couple of victims are adamant they can identify him in a line-up. We believe he will be out of circulation for many years now, and we also believe more arrests are imminent.”
