Oh crab! Surprise visit leaves Warner Beach resident shell-shocked

Have you survived a similar scary encounter? Let us know in the comments below.

We’ve all heard stories or seen photos of other people finding snakes or other creepy crawlies in their toilets, and after the initial shudder of horror and having to shake off goosebumps the size of molehills, we manage to convince ourselves that ”it’ll never happen to me”.

So too, thought Warner Beach resident, Tamryn Gouws.

Until one fine day, in the middle of the night…Tamz got up to answer the call of nature and got the shock of her life when she encountered this ”gigantic”(her words) crab looking up at her from the toilet bowl.

Fortunately for the visiting crustacean, Tamryn’s animal-loving knight-in-shining-armour was close at hand and came to the rescue. Devin calmly picked up the crab and gently relocated him to the garden to join the little crab family that occasionally passes through the yard.

NOTE: No crustaceans were harmed in the making of this story.
