Amanzimtoti conservation festival notches up well-known author

Faansie Peacock is one of southern Africa’s best-known birders and most talented bird artists.

THE Wagtail Conservation Festival has announced its guest speaker, which will be sure to entertain all those at the opening dinner at Amanzimtoti Sports Centre conference room on Friday evening, 9 November from 7pm until 9.30pm.

This year’s Wagtail Festival promises non-stop conservancy. He has authored and co-authored six books on birds. He is a highly sought-after speaker who has presented talks on many subjects.

The Wagtail Festival will serve as the official KZN launch for Peacock’s first children’s bird book. He will be doing his highly entertaining talk ‘Bird brain – a comedic look at what makes birders tick’, which you cannot miss, whether you are a birder or not.

Talented musical duo, Tim Lewis and Tony, will play music to add to the night’s vibe.

The price of the ticket includes a buffet-style meal (with vegetarian options), a welcome cocktail and drink, as well as an entrance ticket to the Wagtail Festival on the Saturday.
