Healthy hot chocolate is the way to go as temperatures get cooler.

Cooler weather and warm cravings – here is an easy to make hot chocolate recipe to try before the seasons start changing.

 

This hot chocolate is healthier than the usual store bought kind…so you don’t have to worry about the sugar rush or if you are lactose intolerant this recipe is the one for you.

Healthy hot chocolate by Wellness Mama

Ingredients

  • 350 g of hot water or coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoons  gelatin powder
  • 1 tablespoons  butter or coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional) OR stevia drops to taste (I like this one)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Mix all ingredients together and enjoy.
