Karatekas bag medals at KZN trials

Once again, the club’s members did not fail to amaze in their abilities, dedication and passion.

An Amanzimtoti karate club bagged a haul of medals at the South African JKA KZN provincial trials at Hillcrest Primary School on Saturday, 24 February.

The Rising Sun JKA Karate Club was well represented, with 22 of its karatekas competing, varying in different ages, belts and experience. They took home 37 medals, including 18 gold, eight silver, and 11 bronze in the various divisions held throughout the day.

Once again, the club’s members did not fail to amaze in their abilities, dedication and passion. Those who took part have received their official JKA KZN colours and will take part in the South African JKA National Championships in May at the Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg.
