“We rescue, rehabilitate and release vervet monkeys,” explained founder and passionate monkey rescuer, Tracy Rowles.

“Umsizi is a non-profit organisation based in Umkomaas and relies solely on donations from the public. We have over 100 vervet monkeys in our care and constantly have new patients coming in and out of the organisation.” Umsizi works tirelessly to change the attitudes and perceptions towards these misunderstood creatures.

Tracy explained that the organisation is desperately trying to raise funds to buy a piece of land for a monkey sanctuary.
