SATURDAY, 27 JANUARY: Jewish Mekudeshet meeting at Grace Baptist Church starts at 10am with time set aside for prayer, followed at 11am with praise and worship. A plate of snacks for fellowship tea afterwards will be appreciated. For further information, call Roger on 071-497-1804

SUNDAY, 28 JANUARY: Toti Ramblers will ramble at Paradise Valley Nature Reserve. Meet at Lords and Legends at 7am to arrange transport. Picnic tea after walk. For queries, call Eileen on 073-436-0144.

WEDNESDAY, 31 JANUARY: The next full moon beach walk is a special one, as it is a blue moon – this occurs when there are two full moon cycles in one calendar month. Starting at 6pm, the walk will be southwards from Baggies kiosk at Warner Beach to Winkle Beach and back. All are welcome to join in but dogs must be on leashes. THURSDAY, 1 FEBRUARY: Amanzimtoti Bowling Club will hold burgers and bowls evenings from 5pm on the first Thursday of every month. Registration is from 4.30pm for a 5.15pm start. Cost is R50 which includes a one-hour game, and afterwards relax to music on the club veranda with your burger. Visitors and non-bowlers welcome, bowls and coaching will be available. FRIDAY, 2 FEBRUARY: Probus Amanzimtoti social club meets at 9.30am for 10am in the tranquil, safe and beautiful surroundings of Umbogavango Nature Reserve situated in Umbogintwini. An interesting speaker will be provided for members’ enjoyment. For the bring-and-braai after the meeting, members should take along their own cups, meat, salads and preferred refreshments. Lions host health checks

Every second Saturday of the month, between 10am and noon, Kingsburgh Lions Club hosts free blood pressure and diabetes testing at Pick ’n Pay Arbour Crossing.

The next testing will be on Saturday, 10 February.

Learn to play bridge

Cross over from being a non-player to a happy, relaxed social bridge player.
