KZN acting provincial commissioner, Major General Bheki Langa welcomed the arrest and the recovery of the unlicensed firearms. “Our task team members and crime intelligence will investigate and see if the arrested suspects are not linked to other violent crimes such as murder, armed robberies and hijackings in the province.

These are the weapons normally used in violent crimes where innocent people are losing their lives. Community members must not shield criminals in their areas but they must expose them and report them to the police,” he said.
