Man rescued after being trapped in bakkie wreckage

The bakkie rolled down an embankment and came to rest against a tree.

A man had to be cut free after being trapped in a bakkie that rolled on Moss Kolnick Road in the early hours of Saturday morning, 11 November.

ER24 paramedics and the fire department responded to the accident at about 1.30am after the bakkie rolled down an embankment and came to rest against a tree.

The passenger in the vehicle managed to get out and call for assistance.

ER24 paramedic, Leo Fourie said the jaws of life were used to cut the driver free. No serious injuries were reported.
