CONGRATULATIONS to the following Amanzimtoti Bowling Club (ABC) women who have made it into to 2018 inter-district squad and will represent Port Natal.

Well done Barbara Beamson and Marion Crouch (senior side) and Doreen Salmond (B side).

The club also congratulates Jeanne Alexander and Julie Sutherland who made the president’s side.

In the remaining quarter finals of the men’s drawn fours, Glen Scorgie, Adie Fuller, Colin Spence and Dean Cooper beat Gerald Chalder-Royle, Ken Leech, Terry Morgan and Trevor Zulch; and John Marsh, Barry Bush, Les Brown (reserve) and Greg Veldtman defeated Coy Schrauwen, Dave Gardner, Bobby Henderson and Wessie van der Westhuizen.

Monthly competitions at Toti BC resumed on Thursday when men’s trips got underway. Winners were Dave Gardner, Allan Duncan and Neville Roscoe; runners-up were Alan McGregor, Bobby Henderson and Cleve Hein; and the second session was won by Ian Crouch, Lofty van Tonder and Brian Crause. Thanks to all for the understanding with the restrung rinks in light of recent flood damage.

At TGIF the 100 board was won by Dave Kemp. Alan McGregor won the attendance draw, which will revert to R100 again next week. Unfortunately Lyndon Smith had no luck in getting his key to open the box, so next week’s key draw will be worth R7,330.

Birthday wishes are sent this week to Mark Brodie and Robert Green. Diarise annual fun competitions – the Cherry Bell on 2 December; women’s and men’s turkey on 9 and 10 December; and men versus women on 16 December.
