Man hijacked and thrown from vehicle

There was a substantial amount of money taken during the incident.

Voluntary Emergency Medical Assistance (VEMA) and ER24 paramedics treated a person who had been thrown from a vehicle after being hijacked on the N2 just after Doonside on Thursday, 21 September.

β€œOn our arrival, we found one person had been hijacked and thrown from his vehicle at about 1pm and he was lying in the slow lane of the N2,” said a VEMA paramedic.

Medics assessed the severely shaken person and found there were no serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for further care.

There was a substantial amount of money taken in the ordeal.
