Man hijacked and thrown from vehicle
There was a substantial amount of money taken during the incident.
Voluntary Emergency Medical Assistance (VEMA) and ER24 paramedics treated a person who had been thrown from a vehicle after being hijacked on the N2 just after Doonside on Thursday, 21 September.
“On our arrival, we found one person had been hijacked and thrown from his vehicle at about 1pm and he was lying in the slow lane of the N2,” said a VEMA paramedic.
Medics assessed the severely shaken person and found there were no serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for further care.
There was a substantial amount of money taken in the ordeal.
