The thrift store plays a vital role in lessening the financial burdens placed on the shelter.

With Spring upon us, many clean-outs are bound to take place. Household items, clothing, cutlery, crockery, records, DVDs, books and just about anything else are greatly accepted at the Amanzimtoti SPCA. The store offers an ever-changing assortment of goods and with growing popularity, the SPCA calls on its community to donate their unwanted belongings.

The local SPCA will be attending flea markets on 30 September and 16 December. The organisation appeals to the community for donations of home made crafts.

Donated goods can be dropped off at the Amanzimtoti SPCA, Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 4pm and on Saturdays until noon.

Visit the thrift store situated on the shelter’s grounds at 1 Nyati Road, Athlone Park weekdays between 9am and 2pm, and Saturdays until noon. Follow the store’s Facebook page: @spcacharityshop to keep up to date. Contact the Amanzimtoti SPCA on 031-904-2424/5 to find out more.
