The Amanzimtoti Child and Family Welfare Society invites the public to attend the empowerment workshops being offered.
These workshops, funded by the National Lotteries Commission (NLC) are enabling the public to acquire new and improve their existing skills.

The Cooking and Baking Project, HIV/Aids Programme, Skills Development and Income Generation Programme, Domestic Empowerment Programme and the Field Workers Programme are the many workshops the Amanzimtoti Child and Family Welfare has on offer to the public, all free of charge.

“The Skills Development and Income Generation alone has seen attendees create the most beautiful shopping bags, track pants and tops along with other clothing items, pattern cut and stitch and learn how to use and care for a sewing machine,” said Toti Welfare’s Poovan Naidoo.

Poovan thanks the National Lotteries Commission for funding these projects, to enable members of the community to better themselves and their current situation by acquiring and improving on a vast amount of important skills.

“The NLC is taking this community a whole giant leap towards becoming more self-sustainable by empowering the public with a number of new skills,” she said. “This funding is extremely well received.”
