Man nabbed for Warner Beach housebreaking

The housebreaking occurred in Madelaine Road in Warner Beach.

A housebreaker was caught by a Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) response officer in the early hours of Saturday morning, 12 August.

CCPO committee member, George Snodey said a housebreaking occurred in Madelaine Road in Warner Beach at about 3am.

One of the men was apprehended by the CCPO after breaking into a Madelaine Road premises on Saturday morning, 12 August.

“A CCPO client saw two people breaking into a neighbour’s property and called us,” said Snodey.

“CCPO supervisor, Michael Mkhize drove around looking for them. He saw them run from Kingsway into Subway Road, where he and his crewman Muzi Shezi managed to catch one of them with the stolen property, while the one escaped.”

The housebreaker was taken back to the property where the stolen goods were identified.
