Truck rear-ends taxi on N2

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that five of the 19 had sustained moderate injuries.

Five people were injured this morning (Monday, 31 July) when a truck rear-ended a taxi on the N2 northbound in Amanzimtoti.

“ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived at the scene at about 8.45am to find several passengers from the taxi walking around,” said ER24 spokesman, Russel Meiring.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that five of the 19 had sustained moderate injuries.

They were treated on scene and transported to various provincial hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
