UPDATE: Suspects nabbed for Doonside shopkeeper’s murder [PHOTOS]

Follow-up investigations throughout the day led to the recovery of the vehicle used in the commission of the crime and personal items belonging to the victim.

The two men arrested in connection with the murder of a Doonside business owner were tracked to the Wentworth area.

According to ET Rapid Response South Coast managing member Tony Lokker, who was involved in the bust, a team of SAPS members and ET TRT members visited two properties in the Wentworth area on Tuesday morning at about 3am.

“Information was received about the whereabouts of two possible suspects in connection with the murder of a Doonside business owner,” said Lokker.

One of the arrested men.

 

The second suspect who was arrested.

The team apprehended both suspects.

Follow-up investigations throughout the day led to the recovery of the vehicle used in the commission of the crime, as well as personal items belonging to the victim, including his driver’s licence.

The vehicle was stolen in Gauteng in 2016 and had false plates on.
