The foreigners offered their time and skills to help the nursing staff at Khanya Hospice.

KHANYA Hospice patients were blessed with medical supplies that were donated by two Dutch volunteers who visited the Umkomaas-based NGO recently.
The foreigners offered their time and skills to help the nursing staff at Khanya Hospice.

“Both volunteers, Diane Mooijman and Jeannet Folbert are qualified professional nurses and loved every moment of helping and serving the community in which Khanya Hospice operates,” said the organisations’s Neil McDonald.

The nurses enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery along the Durban coastline.

“They intend on making their way back next year,” said Neil.

Hospice offers free palliative nursing care to people with life-threatening diseases and support to their families. For more information, contact Khanya Hospice on 083-597-8985 or email hospice@scottnet.co.za.
