Classic car show features marque

The two primary beneficiaries of the show will be Action for the Blind and Disabled and Angels Care KZN.

THIS year’s Scottburgh Classic Car show will feature the Ford marque.

A different marque is chosen each year to lead the show and all owners of pre-1975 Ford automobiles are invited to display their cars at the Scottburgh High School on Sunday, 16 July.

Ford automobiles will be positioned in a special enclosure opposite the main grandstand, overlooking the display arena. They will drive around the arena with a commentary describing Ford’s illustrious history.

The two primary beneficiaries of the show will be Action for the Blind and Disabled and Angels Care KZN. These NPOs were also the beneficiaries last year but unfortunately the bad weather resulted in less money being available to donate than was originally planned.

Dozens of classic car clubs have been invited to the show and over 450 exhibits of cars and bikes are expected. The event is again sponsored by the Rising Sun community newspaper.
