Peanut butter coated bird-feeders, yes please

RESIDENTS of a local care facility let their creative juices flow while celebrating national peanut butter day.

Residents of the Winklespruit based care facility spent their morning coating cardboard boxes with peanut butter, after which they were sprinkled with wild-bird seed.

Sticks from the garden were the attached in various different ways, string tied and the home-made bird feeders were hung in trees of Mooi Hawens’ garden, where the residents and staff hope to attract wild birds. The morning ended with beautiful peanut butter coated bird feeders hanging from trees in the gardens of the care facility. The exercise left wide smiles on the faces of the makers, as being creative is known to leave you feeling happier and lighter at heart.
