See academic songbird on stage soon

Alaska was awarded certificates for achieving eight distinctions in grade 8.

Amanzimtoti songstress, Alaska Hilton is hard at work preparing material for her upcoming debut album, as well as for her Trinity College of London vocal examinations in May.

She is performing the role of ‘Hodel’ in the Amanzimtoti High School production of ‘Fiddler On The Roof’.

She may also perform a few songs at the Splashy Fen music festival in the Drakensberg in April, but she is awaiting confirmation.

“After the South African talent champs and performing in ‘Dolphins by Starlight’ at Ushaka Marine World, Alaska wanted to have her first full December school holiday in three years, so she didn’t do any shows after Dolphins by Starlight,” said her father, Andy.

After winning six gold medals at the talent champs, Alaska performed in the Dolphins by Starlight show with Durban Actors Studio during the first two weeks in December.

On top of this, the talented young performer was awarded certificates for achieving eight distinctions in grade 8, as well as a certificate for achieving second place overall in her grade for academics at Amanzimtoti High School.
