Hamper raffle to fund feral cat project

Hampers will consist of Christmas fare such as wine, spirits and chocolates.

Buy a raffle ticket to stand a chance to win one of three Christmas hampers and help local feral cats.

“We are hosting a raffle to raise funds for the Cat Walk in Amanzimtoti that looks after stray, feral and abused cats,” said organiser Jane Laver.

Cat Walk Toti is independently run, privately owned and operated by Dayle Robinson.

The Cat Walk feeds an average of 120 cats and kittens on a daily basis, with 56 living at the rescue centre with Dayle.

She specialises in mainly feral cats, although she is requested on numerous occasions to take in or re-home domestic cats as well. Most of these feral cats are rescued out of horrific situations and a large number of them are ill and or abused when rescued.

Tickets for the raffle go on sale at Buccaneers Pub in Warner Beach, Woof 2 in Seadoone Mall and Personal Touch in Iphala Centre from Saturday, 5 November to Saturday, 17 December at a cost of only R5 a ticket.

Hampers will consist of Christmas fare such as wine, spirits and chocolates. The draw takes place at Buccaneers Pub.
