PARAMEDICS travelling from Pietermaritzburg to Margate came across a pedestrian crash on the R603 in Umbumbulu on Monday evening, 31 October.
Netcare 911 paramedics found the man lying on the roadway with critical injuries.
He was stabilised before being transported to a nearby hospital. The cause of the crash and preceding events will form part of a police investigation.
