The downpour is forcing motorists to consider alternative routes.

While the Sun has not been informed of any official road closures in the greater Amanzimtoti area, there are several roads which are waterlogged as a result of this morning’s deluge, and which should be avoided at all costs.

* The N2 past Galleria
* Umdoni Road, near the entrance to Kingsway High and Kuswag
* Kynoch Road, which links Dickens Road to the M35
* Kingsway in Warner Beach
* Approach the N2 north opposite the old airport at snail’s pace, owing to waterlogged lanes
* Bottom of Isundu Drive/Gordon/Kingfisher roads
* Prospecton Road in Prospecton.
