Ward 97 councillor, Andre Beetge said there is still confusion surrounding the senior citizens grant and wishes to clarify the issue.
“In a recent editorial of the Sun we supplied certain guidelines on the application process for the senior citizens grant, also know as the senior citizens pension or old age pension,” said Cllr Beetge.
“There appears to be some confusion. While our office is able to assist with guidance on the required documentation, as well as filling out of the initial application form (annexure I), application still needs to be done in person by each applicant at the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) offices located in the Thusong Centre in Umgababa.”
